MWM TCG 3020

The MWM TCG 3020 series of gas engines offers an advanced blend of high performance and dependability. With electrical efficiency reaching up to 45%, this generation provides approximately 18% more power output compared to the previous model — without requiring more space. Designed for longevity, it allows for extended maintenance intervals of up to 80,000 operating hours under optimal gas conditions, and can deliver total system efficiency exceeding 87% when running on natural gas. Engineered for modern industrial demands, these gas engines — ranging from 1,380kWe to 2,300kWe — are built to support smart energy infrastructure. Equipped with TPEM (Total Plant & Energy Management), a fully integrated digital control platform, the system ensures peak operational performance, enhanced availability, and streamlined plant management.

Generator Reliability

The particle-free combustion, with pre-chamber spark plugs, extends the service intervals for the exhaust gas heat exchanger and reduces service costs compared to other combustion methods.

Efficiency

All components relevant for efficiency and power output are monitored by the TEM. The new, upgraded wastegate in particular ensures a more efficient operation with changing conditions.

Power

The high-pressure turbocharger A140, with an improved wastegate, allows operation with a broader air intake temperature range and up to higher altitudes.
