Energy Resilience Lab: RSE × KPI

Together with Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute, we are launching the Energy Resilience Lab — a new space that will become part of the university’s Scientific and Educational Center for Energy Decarbonization and the Energy Innovation Hub.

The lab will provide students and engineers with hands-on experience working with mobile cogeneration plants and decentralized energy networks — the very systems that are already delivering backup power to frontline regions. It will also offer access to demo units based on MWM/Caterpillar technologies.

What does the project include?

  • An educational center offering training on operating mobile CHP units and the principles of backup and green energy systems.
  • Demonstration stands for practicing real-world scenarios — from connecting a hospital to powering a logistics hub.
  • Research programs focused on decarbonization and improving energy system resilience.

The Energy Resilience Lab is designed to unite academic knowledge with advanced technical solutions — shaping a new generation of engineers equipped to rebuild and defend Ukraine’s energy independence.
